What is a Niche?
Posted by Abdz - 06/07/09Blogging has taken the world by storm. What better way is there is stay in contact with your family? If you had to choose between writing 20 different emails to go out to 20 different email addresses, and writing one detailed account of a situation to post on one website, which one do you think you will go for? We all know that time is one thing that we cannot afford to waste these day. Everyone in the world needs more time and prays that someone would invest a way to add just one more hour into a day. Until that happens we will need to make do with what we have.
Blogging is a great way to market your product or company, it is a great way for you to keep your clients or customers updates as to what you are doing, and what the plans are for your company for the future. It is also the perfect way for you to get your products out to the public. The more people you get to your blog site the more people you will get to your official site and the more people who will be seeing your products. That is the whole point of blogging, getting more traffic to your website, updating people as to the goings on with your firm or company and getting more people to join your RSS feeds.
Finding your niche
There is only one thing you need to know when it comes to finding your niche, and that is what you do for a living. Niche blogging is not the most difficult thing in the world, all you do not write blogs that are industry specific. If you are in the welding industry (for example) you will need to find out about things that will interest other people in the welding industry. you will then need to make up a plan as to how you will go about writing these niche articles and posting them on a weekly basis. If your company sells welding equipment, make your blogs exciting to read. No one wants to read a boring old story about things they use every day. Of course you want to promote you product, but you will have to do it lightly, promote, but not hard.
When you are writing an article for your niche blog, make sure that it is a personal account. You have to remember that blogs are more personal than official sites, it is a personal account of what happened to you, or it should be. so you would base your article on when you where in the shop welding a piece of metal. You used X tool and it is so much better than anything else you have used. You bought your one from X shop and the link to the site is X.
Always remember
Never hard sell you products over a blog. People are only interested in blog because they are interesting to read. Make sure that your is interesting to read and you will soon have a ton of followers and even more potential clients at your site.
