What is a Blog Post?

For instance, if you wanted to buy a new dress for a party that you are going to next week and you had no time to get to the shops, you can use your internet connection to make a purchase of your new dress online. That dress (your chosen one) will then be boxed and couriered to your door in a few days (if not the next day).
Since the creation of the internet it has become the most used tool in the world (next to the computer it is used on of course). Surprising since it was first said that the internet will never work, because it was mainly used for data storage when it was first released. Many people said that it will never catch one. The internet has since become a huge part of many people life, and is, today, one of the main ways people stay in contact with the people they love.
The first way to communicate over the internet was email, and many people started using it as a form of letter writing – this took over from normal snail mail (post office). Then came IM or instant messaging and this was a lot faster than email, so people took onto this way of communicating very quickly. VoIP or Voice over Internet Protocol was next, and this set a new president for communication, as it offered free computer to computer calls with the proper software. This meant that people could actually talk to their loved ones with the need of a normal land line telephone or cell phone. The next way of communicating was the blog, this like the internet, got off to a rocky start.
So what is it then?
Blogging was much like email, but at a new level. Now there was no need for email, there was no need for IM and there was no longer a need to do voice calls. However, many people still keep in touch via VoIP and IM, there is nothing like hearing the voice of a loved one. A blog was a way of letting people know what you are doing. It was a form of letter writing, which meant that the user could set up a detailed account of what he or she was or is doing, and is going to do for the next day or two.
A blog post is one of the most convenient was of communicating with loved ones. Even though it was similar to the email, there was no longer a need to write ten different email and send them to ten different email address. It was now possible to write one note or detailed account and post it onto a blogging website for people to read. The best part about it is that it can all be very private and only people who know you are able to read what you have written or your could set it up as public for anyone to see.
