Blog Internal Linking Structure
Posted by Abdz - 12/07/09 at 04:07 amLinking internally for a website you have is a good idea to boost your search engine optimization and therefore increase traffic to your site. For a blog this is no different. You can use various internal linking structures to improve your SEO ranking and get more people to read your blog.
When you write a blog it is for a specific reason. This might be for fun, to help people, to promote another website, and to market your products and services. You must make sure that when you start a blog that you have all the correct formats and keywords to improve the ranking, but linking is also important. You can use links internally from one blog to another, linking blogs of the same topic, and to also create links to your contact page or leading to a page where you link externally to your actual product website. The blog linking structures can be set up in any way you like, but the best thing to do is to work out a system that you stick to.
How to Do Linking
This is to ensure that you don’t get confused as to how to are going to do your linking, and so that you don’t forget the linking altogether which is very necessary for your page rankings. The system you use should be cleverly done so that Google and other search engines can easily navigate your website. This is one of the most important things that these search engines look for. If they cannot find something easily on your blog website, they will not give you a particularly high ranking. The links should lead from one blog to the next, or they could lead from the blog to the main page where blogs of the same topic are archived. It can also include a link from the blog to the contact page, or home page. Each page or blog should contain links to the other main pages of your blog website, just as you would do for any other website.
Creating a good internal linking structure will help you get and maintain a high page ranking so that you can get more traffic. The higher your ranking the more people will find your website and come to view it. If you receive a particularly high ranking for one specific blog that you have written, review it and find out why it ranks so well. This could be keyword placement, the keyword choices, the linking, and other elements. To gain higher rankings for your other blog posts you can also use the high ranking one to link to and from. As more and more people view your blogs you can lead them to the other areas of your site and make your website more viable to rank highly on the major search engines for multiple keywords. In turn this will bring advertisers to you, and it will give your main business website a boost as well.
